WETT is an acronym for: Wood. Energy. Technology. Transfer.
WETT is a certification process that all our staff take in order to guarantee our clients professional, safe and effective service for all wood burning systems in Canada.
There are no legal requirements in Canada for a person to be WETT certified in order to perform inspections, installations or maintenance.
But, many insurance companies now insist that an inspection, installation and/or maintenance of wood-burning appliances and equipment be performed by someone who is WETT certified.

A WETT inspection is a thorough comprehensive inspection of your wood-burning unit and it’s chimney. These inspections are often required for homeowners to receive insurance coverage on their unit. We provide a full report (with pictures, checklists and comments) and a letter for your insurance company. We also fill out any forms that your insurance company may require.
The number one benefit is cleaner air because the air ducts are no longer full of unwanted dust, odours and allergens. Ask your Aero technician about anti microbial treatments. This treatment will kill any bacteria or mold spores hiding in your ductwork.
At Aero we are the founders of the “flat rate system” when doing a home duct cleaning. Most companies charge “per air vent” or up-charge to clean certain parts of the furnace and the ducting system. We clean the whole system from top to bottom for one flat rate.
You know what you are going to pay before we start the job. We don’t tell you one price and then find ways to add on to that price while we are on the job.
Heat, Ventilation and Air Conditioning. We come to your home or commercial building and conduct an on-site inspection of your whole system.
Simply put, we are cleaners. We clean your furnace and ductwork with our powerful vacuum and compressed air. Where as the furnace company tunes up your furnace and makes sure it’s running properly. Both of us are needed for your furnace to run properly. Oil Furnaces especially! They require both a tune up as well as Aero to come out and clean their heat exchanger regularly. Oil soot can clog a furnace causing breakdowns and malfunctions. Often it’s the furnace inspector who informs homeowners to call us because of the state their ductwork or heat exchanger is in.
We perform a WETT inspection and it’s only good till we walk out the door. Anyone can change things after we’re gone. You can also check with their insurance company.
