Strata Dryer Vent Cleaning

Stratas, Condos and Townhouses need to keep a close eye on their dryer air duct as the health of many people can be impacted. Condos and townhouses are all connected, so there are many more air ducts that collect dust, lint, allergens, dirt, debris and chemicals. The longer and more complex ducts require professional up-to-date special equipment to clean the whole system. The main reasons for cleaning the system are:

How Does Aero Clean The Whole Dryer Vent System?

At Aero Services we want to clean the whole run from the dryer to the vent outside. This requires us to enter each unit.

We start by cleaning out the dryer, blowing compressed air inside where the lint gathers and cleaning the element where lint can catch fire. We then use a high-powered vacuum to suck out the lint that we have dislodged.

Now we turn our attention to cleaning the transition hose behind the dryer.

In some cases where the dryer vent is very long and has many corners we reverse the main line sending the lint back to our vacuum from the inside.

After we’re finished on the inside, we proceed to clean the vents from the outside using our reverse skipper ball.

Finally, we also clean out your building’s main ventilation shafts.

After we are finished inside all the units we proceed up to the roof where we reverse all the vents with compressed air. This pulls all the lint up and out of the main duct runs.

If the vent is accessible from a resident’s balcony we then proceed to clean it out while we are still in the unit. This makes it easier for use since we do not have to use ladders.

The Sides Of A Building

Dry vents may exit the building on sidewalls. When this is the case we may have to use long ladders to reach the vents. Our ladders can reach up to three stories. Our chimney sweeps are trained to use these ladders safely as they clean the dryer vents.
